Where does Obagi Nu Derm come from?

The program was initially created by Dr. Zein Obagi, internationally renowned and respected board certified dermatologist, and is available only through specially trained doctors. Each product has been formulated to work in conjunction with the others for each patient's individual regimen to ensure effective and harmonious results.

What is different about Obagi Nu Derm?

Unlike traditional skin care products that only treat problems on the surface of your skin, the Obagi Skin Health Restoration System works at the cellular level.

The Obagi Nu-Derm System uses a unique combination of active and prescription ingredients - including Tretinoin and Hydroquinone 4% - to maximize penetration to all skin layers. The specific dosage and frequency are determined and monitored by our doctors, according to the patient's skin condition, needs and lifestyle.

How does the system change your skin?

The System triggers a Therapeutic Cascade™ that:

• Increases cellular turnover of abundant, healthy keratinocytes, pushing fresh cells to the surface more quickly and promoting old cells to exfoliate faster;
• Suppresses melanocytes production (melanocytes are melanin-producing cells located in the bottom layer of the skin's epidermis. Melanin is a pigment responsible for the colour of skin) reversing and preventing hyperpigmentation;
• Promotes the even distribution of melanin, eliminating unwanted dark patches, age spots and other pigmentation;
• Repairs intracellular transcription of keratinocytes (the predominant cell type in the epidermis), producing healthy, uniform cells for better skin structure;
• Stimulates fibroblasts (a type of cell that makes collagen and plays a critical role in wound healing) to increase collagen and elastin formation, resulting in stronger, more resilient skin to delay the aging of the skin tissue;

4) Obagi Nu-Derm Exfoderm® Forte - For Normal/Oily Skin

Formulated with alpha hydroxy acid, it exfoliates dead surface skin cells and aids in penetration of treatment ingredients in the System. 2.0 oz (57 g)
